Anyone with a UNM netid can create, own, and publish a web site — this includes faculty, students, staff, organizations and departments. Review our hosting options for more information (and setup instructions). Our cPanel service offering allows UNM departments and clubs to almost instantly obtain a website. Click here to request a cPanel account.

Please note: If you are requesting a department or club website through cPanel, you must first login to CAS with a department or club (not your own personal) netid to request an account. You also need access to the netid's email account to complete the account request process. Learn more about Department and Club netids.

File Management

Manage your website's files online, view your disk (quota) usage by folder, grant others access to specific folders on your site using Web Disk, and backup/restore your site's content and databases.

Databases

Manage your site's MySQL databases using phpMyAdmin. Create database users and grant specific permissions to your database. Allow other systems/services to remotely connect to your site's MySQL databases.

Domains

Create aliases for your websites in the main .unm.edu space and create new domains (website URLs) on demand.

Metrics, Analytics, and Logs

View your site's error logs and access logs. All websites are setup for AWStats to gather metrics (like Google Analytics) in the background - view comprehensive traffic and visitor reports in a few clicks.

Security

Connect to your hosting account via SSH (using the web based Java client or an installable client). Grant/revoke access to other users with SSH key pairs.

Application development

View PHP settings, install PEAR modules, and install hundreds of open source web applications (including Drupal and Wordpress) in just 3 clicks.

Advanced features

Schedule and view cron jobs with a graphical interface, control your site's index pages, MIME types, error pages, and handlers using a convenient web interface.
